MythTV IR Receiver

I built a small IR receiver to use with lirc. This will allow a standard remote control to be used with MythTV instead of the PC keyboard I presently use.

The circuit is the standard homebrew serial port receiver schematic from the lirc website. I built it freeform inside a small, keychain-size project box from Radio Shack.

I use a 4-in-1 Radio Shack remote to control all my A/V devices. The Sat/Cbl button is set to device code 0522 (Panasonic DVD) to control MythTV via lirc.
