This is a big week. I am out in Salt Lake City, UT, for some training at Linux Networx before catching the red-eye down to Fort Lauderdale Tuesday night. The rest of the week will be finishing a cluster install at Motorola. Flying over the mountains was nice, there is a lot of snow.

Sunday, January 22nd, 2006A City By The Bay
Friday, January 6th, 2006It is 46F this morning in San Francisco where I am to perform an upgrade on a cluster at the Federal Reserve Bank. My hotel is about 3 blocks from the bank so I didn’t even request a car for this trip. I can see part of the bay from the hotel so that is pretty neat for a landlubber from Missouri.
Swamp Thing
Tuesday, December 27th, 2005This is my first trip to Florida. The flight in was interesting, the landscape would change from urban to swamp and back again quite suddenly.
My install was put off until tomorrow due to a shipping delay so I spent the afternoon cruising around and enjoying the sunshine. It was in the 70’s here, much warmer than St. Louis. Not a bad way to start off the work week. 🙂
A Linux Cluster eh?
Tuesday, December 13th, 2005I have never been to Canada before but it seems like a nice place. The downtown Calgary area is a nice place to stay anyway. My hotel is only 3 blocks from the client so I can easily walk there in about 10 minutes. Traffic isn’t too bad and it is easy to get around. This part of the city is clean and prosperous looking. It’s not even that cold, around 35F. It was colder than that in St. Louis this weekend. 🙂
